Long ago, Man having lost the ancient and fabled powers of magic, turned to technology. Magic soon faded into nothingness, remembered only as mythical tales admired by the young. Man excelling at technology soon gained the powers to create others. With such powers Man soon sat high upon their pedestal, their leaders reigning as Gods; prideful and arrogant. Soon Man turned God came to resent their mortality, delving deeper into the abyssal of technology. There they learned the secrets of immortality, truly becoming Gods in their eyes. Soon they created a new world far from Earth upon which they created mortal images of themselves upon this new world having forgotten their own mortality and watched from high above.
High above upon their pedestals believing themselves Gods, they too forgot they were once human. There they sat; endlessly watching these primitive humans evolve from illiterate fools to intelligent sentient beings. Slowly evolving upon this scorching desolate desert world upon which they resided, Humans grew quickly. In a fraction of the time that their Gods learned of language and alphabets, these new Humans learned it. Quickly they traveled from brainless maggots stalking prey to farmers, turning their desert land into fertile land where their planets foods could be grown. Tools evolved from simple sticks and stones, to strong iron and steel used for various purposes.
The Gods having watched over their Human counterparts for eons concluded it was finally time to impose their presence upon these pathetic humans. Slowly, they sent their arbitrators down into the various new countries as Prophets foretelling their Gods greatness. These Prophets resisted not their superior abilities, demonstrating the greatness of their technology before all; curing the sick, feeding the hungry, and purging the wicked.
However, one of these so-called Prophets rebelled against these Gods he served. This Prophet believing in the times of old, of equality, rallied the people into a grand rebellion for freedom.
